The American people have the RIGHT to understand what their government is doing, who is influencing it, where public money is going, and when officials have made mistakes.
We need ethics back in our public offices. My administration would adopt a transparency-by-default standard, expand proactive disclosure, strengthen compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, and reduce unnecessary delays in the release of public records.
Senior officials under my administration will be forced to have ‘Senior-Official Public Calendars’ that would publish significant meetings with lobbyists, contractors, foreign representatives, unions, corporations, and advocacy organizations. A searchable database would record major outside contacts intended to influence executive decisions.
I would support banning individual stock trading by members of Congress and senior federal officials while continuing to allow diversified funds and normal retirement accounts.
Inspectors general and whistleblowers must also be protected so fraud, waste, misconduct, and abuse can be exposed without political retaliation.
Also, if it somehow hasn’t been done by 2040, I will release the full Epstein files, only leaving out the select few parts with victims’ names in it.
Finally, the White House would be required to visibly correct materially false information. Mistakes would not be silently deleted or hidden. If something were going badly—even because of decisions made by my administration—the American people would hear the truth, because they DESERVE to always hear what the truth is!
My policies:
Strengthen and expand the Freedom of Information Act.
Require senior-official public calendars.
Establish an executive lobbying-contact database.
Ban individual stock trading by senior federal officials.
Strengthen inspectors general.
Expand federal whistleblower protections.
Improve federal contractor transparency.
Publish visible corrections when government information is wrong.
Release lawfully disclosable records of major public interest.
Releasing the full Epstein files.
