The strength of the economy should be measured by whether Americans can afford to live, work, raise families, start businesses, and build a better future.

My administration would create an Affordability Council to coordinate policy involving housing, healthcare, transportation, energy, food, insurance, and competition. Instead of treating rising costs as strange unrelated problems, the federal government would investigate and confront their underlying causes.
Existing antitrust laws would be modernized and more aggressively enforcedagainst price fixing, anticompetitive mergers, exclusionary contracts, local monopolies, and deliberate attempts to suppress new competitors.
I would implement a special tax on billionaires and those with, not necessarily big incomes, but big amounts of money that’s just sitting around, then turning around and using that to help the American people.
Small businesses would receive greater assistance through a startup tax holiday, a first-employee tax credit, and a simplified launch portal. Benefit programs would be reformed so Americans do not suddenly lose essential support because their income rises slightly.
The United States would also take any available measures to strengthen domestic manufacturing which I am obviously a fan of and would do anything to promote, protect critical supply chains, promote the right to repair, and encourage investment in medicines, semiconductors, transformers, energy technology, and other strategically important goods, forming stockpiles of them.
My policies:
